i found this story when it was 17 chapters in. i read all 17 chapters that first day. and i have loved getting the updates weekly. the first thing that stood out to me about this story was the fact that bella was a bit older. i love twilight, however, cannon bella gets on my nerves a bit. i love that Buff has stayed true to cannon bella but given her the confidence and maturity that comes with a couple more years.

in this fic charlie passed away very shortly after bella moved in with him during her junior year of high school. at the beginning of the story, we find bella going back to forks the summer before going off to college. she is there to pack up the house and get things in order to sell. so of course bella and edward get acquainted with one another and the usual happens.

but what makes this fic so great is the amount of story Buff packs into the relatively short amount of chapters. there also is something in here for everyone. We get fluff, angst and action. first, we get an amazing love story that she brilliantly set up from the start. you will love how the author puts these two characters together in a way that doesn't drag but also doesn't seem forced.

we also, get to experience bella deal with the real life issue of losing a parent. i noticed very quickly how Buff always makes sure to show all aspects of bella's life at the moment. she is experiencing the new love with edward but she also is grieving for her dad. the author doesn't let charlies' death be forgotten through all of this.

and finally this story is action packed! i can't believe i get all of this in one story. the last several chapters have kept me on the edge of my seat! Buff's writing is incredible and i feel connected to all of the characters. this last chapter shows exactly how a writer can tell a story from one specific pov while incorporating the other character's emotions and feelings.

there are no wasted words in this story. everything has a purpose and is written with so much clarity. i cannot believe there are only 22 chapters so far. the fic is winding down and the author said it should just be a few more chapters. this will be a complete story in every sense of the word. there are many fics out there that have millions of chapters and don't had half as much story telling as this one fic. i can't wait to go back and read it straight through after it is finished.
